ALEX TURNER IS A BABE

It’s a good time to be an Alexa Chung fanatic. The fashion darling, who’s fast becoming the Karl Lagerfeld of the It-girl world, is releasing her first cosmetics collaboration — with British brand Eyeko — in an effort to help her faithful followers attain their icon’s signature makeup look. And lo! We’ve managed to sneak ourselves a peek.

The range, sold as a limited edition gift set, includes ‘Eye Do’ mascara, liquid liner, a poster of Chung’s doodles and a guitar pick-shaped thing to help prevent smudging. As Eyeko’s Creative Director, Chung also had a hand in designing the products’ packaging which — much like her just-released literary effort, It — features an image of her expertly lined eye.
In a release, Chung describes her new budge-proof liner as having “the perfect shape and size to give you control,” giving users “the precision to draw on the perfect cat eye.” She adds, “It’s pitch black and waterproof so it doesn’t move even on the waterline.” As for the water-resistant mascara, Chung says it “stays on forever but feels amazing thanks to all the lash-enhancing magic in the mix.” Can’t argue with an ingredients list containing magic, now, can ya?
Alexa Chung x Eyeko will be available Nov. 14 exclusively on eyeko.com and at London’s Selfridges on Oxford Street. But don’t go spending your salary on a plane ticket just yet, American Alexaphiles — Eyeko’s people have reassured us that the set will be landing in Sephora stores come January, retailing at $39.50. If post-Christmas-gift-returning wish lists were a thing, this stuff’s definitely on ours.
